The candidate should be a Registered nurse in good standing with the Tennessee licensure board or eligible to obtain a Tennessee license. The candidate should possess excellent assessment and computer skills and use those skills to accurately code the MDS per RAI guidelines. The candidate should be a self-starter that can schedule, complete, and transmit the assessments according to the established RAI timeline and in accordance with state and federal guidelines. The MDS Coordinator will also be an integral part of the care planning process. The candidate will be responsible for the development of a resident–centered care plan that encompasses the resident’s voice and speaks to the needs of the resident. Scheduling care plan meetings for the resident and/or legal healthcare representative along with the Interdisciplinary team will be part of the assigned duties for the MDS Coordinator. Good communication skills and the ability to develop a rapport with coworkers, residents, and families will be an essential part of an effective care plan process. Willingness to work with the team, a desire to improve resident care, and the ability to coordinate resident centered care are imperative to the success of this position and to the success of our clinical team as well. Etowah Health Care Center is currently seeking a Registered Nurse, RN Charge Nurse or a Licensed Practical Nurse/ LPN Charge Nurse for our 7am to 3pm, 3 pm to 11 pm ,11pm to 7 am shifts. The charge nurse will be responsible for the independent supervision of the delivery of care to our residents. You will assess resident needs, develop individual care plans, administer nursing care, evaluate nursing care, pass medications, and supervise nursing staff and other personnel in the delivery of nursing care.
Assure that effective, quality, outcome-focused nursing care is delivered.
Develop individualized plans of care in collaboration with the resident/ responsible party and interdisciplinary care team.
Implement plan of care consistently, effectively and cost efficiently with focus on resident-centered outcomes by utilizing all appropriate, available resources for resident/ family/ responsible party counseling and discharge planning.
Work in collaboration with physician and/or other health care professionals by sharing information relevant to changing plan of care.

Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant or willing to attend classes with the potential for full time employment.
Must be able to communicate effectively in English, including reading and writing.
Must be able to push and/or pull objects weighing in excess of 100 pounds.
Must be able to carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
Must be able to perform duties requiring standing, bending, squatting, reaching, climbing, stooping, and walking for extended periods of time.
